Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. Her work has earned her recognition by the media and for her television performances since the early 1980s. The awards she has won are the two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister, and their mother were moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father had divorced their mother. Bassett chose to become an actress after seeing the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. She attended Yale University New Haven Connecticut and graduated with a bachelor's degree (1980) with a major in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale In 1997, they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in the year 1980. Masters in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grades), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working in one of the lead parts in the film Ramonda in the action film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
